Here’s another thing that is most likely to grab both yours and your kids attention – the penguin lamp. It’s gonna be a great gift for your kids for the upcoming holidays – it’s both practical and very nice looking and they’re gonna be totally in love with it. And I bet you’ll love it, too if anyone decides to give it to you as a present. You can use it as a desktop light or as a reading light, both ways what you get is a very sleek designed gadget that’s gonna revive the atmosphere in your home or office and brings up a smile on people’s faces when they see it. You can chose from two designs – black and white one or black and blue one. My personal favorite is the original penguin colors - black and white, but different people different opinions – just choose the one that suits you best.

And here’s something lights and we can’t go without – the light switch. The thing here’s that normal light switches are fixed to the walls and this one is portable. And if you ask why would anyone want to have something like that, guess you’re just not one of those lazy people who even hate the idea of getting up to turn the lights off when they’re falling asleep for instance. But come on…deny that there wasn’t a moment like that in your life. You’re just in the edge of falling asleep after a long, long day and the only thing that’s bugging you is that light that’s turn on…you have to get up…get there and turn it off…blah. Well, no more. See what this thingy can do:
“The wireless switch can control any light fixture you choose, and you can set it anywhere in your house. Simply attach the remote component to your light fixture, open the On/Off box and flip the switch - that light on the other end of the room instantly turns on or off! The switch works up to 100 feet away and comes encased in an elegant Lucite box with a magnetic lid.”
Is it just me or the people are getting proportionally creative to their laziness? Good for us.

Here’s another light idea as I’m obviously in that mood. This time we’re talking about normal light color, but also about sort of abnormal lights. It’s nothing more than an idea for a reading light except it is wireless and greatly designed. See what creators have to say about it:
“This cordless over-the-bed dual lamp offers individual, dimmable light to either person in bed, so one can read without disturbing the other. Each lamp slides along a 36″ track and adjusts side-to-side, while each lamp head swivels to shine right where the light is needed. Additionally, there are no cords and wires like other over-the-bed lighting. Each lamp slides along the track, adjusts from side to side and swivels to shine light where it is needed. Each LED lamp also has its own on/off switch and is dimmable. These attributes make this lamp perfect to avoid disturbing your partner sleeping right next to you while you read or work.”
It’s the perfect solution when you just want to sleep and your sweet, kind, loving partner demands on finishing that thick book of his/hers. No more covers over your head or sleeping masks – just get him/her and mostly yourself this light. Works even better than a sleeping pill, trust me.

If you’re tired from the yellow or white bright light emitted from your normal light bulbs I have a solution for you. It sounds kinda unreal, but it isn’t. It is for real a light bulb (an absolutely regular one that fits in every regular light bulb socket) that you can change the color on. And it’s not a color or two – it goes with a remote control and if I can count correctly there are 15 colors you can take advantage of (count them one more time if you don’t trust me). But that’s not all - the bulb also offers various transition effects (flash, strobe, fade and smooth) and you can adjust the brightness level (not something you normally can do with LED bulbs). Sounds like a light show to me, don’t you think. Well, you have to admit that when you first hear about it, it sounds kinda useless, but when you think about it - sometimes the atmosphere you’re creating can be the only key to your success.

Who doesn’t like a cake on their birthday…and what’s the most important thing so the cake can be perfect – no, it’s not the writings…yes, I know the taste is important, but no again…finally – the candles of course. I know sometimes it’s kinda embarrassing when you get your cake and there are more than 22 candles on it, but you know that time will come one day and all you can do is accept it. But yes the candles are important and their place is on the cake…so why not make it even more interesting and stylish with those color flame party candles. It’s not only your child that’s gonna be ecstatic about it…I know you’ll like it too if your cake shines in red, blue, green, purple and orange (2 times orange as the white candle produces an orange flame, too). There are 12 candles in every box – 2 of each color and 12 plastic holders who not only collect wax, but also make it incredibly easy to decorate the cake. Smile now…yes, you may need to buy more than one box of candles for your next birthday cake, but imagine how colorful shiny it will be.
Thanks so much to the www.vat19.com for the brilliant colorful idea.

If you have no idea what Mood Beams are - I’ll tell you – they are very cute color changing collectable figures. And if you’re thinking why you should get one or more of those – I’ll tell you again – no particular reason. Or if you really need a reason use the same one that got you the “Humping USB dog” or the “Moovin’ and groovin’ snake” or even the “Singing and dancing Homer Simpson”. The Mood Beams are just one of those thing that you don’t really need, but looks so cute and right in place in your home (next to your computer, next to your bed, even in your bathroom). And most of all they are fun – those battery-operated characters cycle through a spectrum of hypnotic colors and can be set to perform at five different speeds: Heartbeat, Rainbow, Strobe, Color Dance and Color Hold. You want more? They are also sensitive to sound, so if you put them next to your radio or CD player they’ll change color in time to the beat of the music. I have to warn you though – many of the times “collectable” means “addictive”. And they are…get one and try to stop there…it’s impossible.

Yes it’s kinda early but if you’ve already started your Christmas shopping list here’s a very cool idea for a present…to wish for or buy for someone else. And it’s practical too. Yeah well when you think of slippers they already are practical enough but now they get even more practical. What do I mean? Slippers now get illuminated. And you know how hard it is to navigate through stuff in the middle of the night especially if you have a kid and there are toys scattered all over the place…it’s basically a struggle to get form point A to point B without the risk of stumbling into something. Now you can…the slippers have the form of a big red car and by using their lights as a flashlight you can “drive” yourself safely to the already mentioned point B. And since you know you’re not the only person with problems like that they make a perfect present for the upcoming Christmas.

We all hate the dark rainy days when you feel down and don’t want to do anything except roll in bed and watch TV. But hey, now there is a way to enjoy the rain (or at lest the people around you will) – this umbrella has funky lights on top that you can control with a button in the handle. You’ll most likely become a center of attention once you flip the switch and the lights start changing. Best of all – it comes around $35 so it’s not that expensive.

Want the moon in your room? Don’t take the roof off – simply get this new glow in the dark gadget. It’s a curved relief of the moon (scaled of course) and will go through the 12 stages or simply stay at one place depending on the mode you choose. It will turn on automatically when it’s dark and shut itself down in 30 minutes (or not if you want a glowing moon all night long). It also comes with a 15 minutes CD – a guided tour of the moon’s areas. It’s the perfect gift for your wannabe astronauts kids.
